This month we have the following activities lined up for our members:

1. 1st Shotokan World Open Karate Championship

We have been invited to participate in the tournament organized by the Malaysian Shotokan karate Association (Perak State Branch) which will be held in Ipoh, Perak on the 26th of August 2007. The Melaka Team will merge with our Honbu Team for this event. Azlimmi Sensei will act as Team Manager & Coach in Pathmanathan Sensei’s absence. 2. Perhimpunan Waja Diri Rakan Waja Diri 2007

We will be sending a contingent to the Rakan Waja Diri Martial Arts Gathering which hopes to break the record and become the largest gathering of martial artists (target : 15,000 martial artists from all styles). The event is organized by Ministry of Youth Of Sports aims to unify all martial artists to celebrate our nation’s 50th birthday. This event will be graced by the presence of His Royal Highness The Sultan of Selangor. His Royal Highness will be escorted by His Excellency The Menteri Besar of Selangor and Her Excellency The Minister of Youth & Sports. The event will be held at the Malawati Stadium in Shah Alam, Selangor on the 1st of September 2007 (Full dress rehersal will be held on the 31st of August).
